          The story behind Garrett Layout: Hi, my name is Charles Dood, myself along with my son Jason created this current layout approximately two years ago. We’ve had previous layouts over the years, but this layout is active.  We have other family members active in this family hobby.           Our two railroad companies we run are CSX and NS (Norfolk Southern). At present we are building an addition to the layout dedicated to our: “Museum Trains”. The main layout is currently point to point.

          Operations is most of the active time we share. We do have a Railroad Yard (Garrettville Yard), a Town (Garrettville) an Industrial Park (Garrett Industrial), five businesses: Anthony Salvage, Garrett Steel and Container, Garrett Mine, JASR, and United Plastics). All the names associated with the layout are either family names or biblical.

          We also have a Facebook Page, a Magazine, A Google Blog,  YouTube,  and some websites.
